pistachionfone
a note on sitting, and on the frog who cannot stop.
his name is pistachio. he is green, he is on the phone, and he has not moved from that pad in nine hours.
to sit is not to rest. it is to lower yourself onto a lily pad with one small errand in mind and rise having scrolled through the entire pond.
it happens before anyone notices. it happens at the water line. it happens at 4am, when the reeds go quiet and the screen is the only light left.
the thesis is one sentence. it does not need two:
the sitting is already happening. you are just not counting it.
so pistachio counts. hours. flies. unread.
the jump distance. the croak volume. the tongue speed. the battery line.
this is pondmaxxing. it is not laziness. it is bookkeeping.
the ledger existed before he opened it.
the entry level moves are boring, which is why they work:
leave the phone on the bank. catch the fly you can already see. sit in the sun before the screen. one pad, not the whole pond. croak at something living. get in the water you keep looking at.
this is softcroaking. cheap, slow, undefeated.
most frogs never finish it and go looking for the expensive version instead.
and the whole thing compresses into one word:
pistachionfone.
because the pond is not a pond anymore. it is a feed with frogs in it.
one thumb. bad light. no jump. pad drifting.
the screen time decides who did what, and the screen time is not sentimental.
the notification lies to you kindly. the battery does not.
this is why frogs are afraid of it and check it eleven times an hour.
pistachionfone
the ceiling is real. a frog is a frog. some of it is the pond, some of it is the season, none of it is his fault.
but almost no frog is at his ceiling. he is at his habits.
the gap between the two is the only part he owns.
so: phone on the bank. sun. water. the one pad. the counted hour.
then put it face down for a season and let the flies arrive without an audience.
you will know it worked when nothing is posted.
the frog just sits there. off the phone.
